Don’t waste your money on expensive facials at fancy salons when you can make your own right at home. You may have most of these ingredients sitting in your kitchen area, if not, you can get them at a local store near you.
Before You Start
Before you even apply the mask, always prep your skin so that you can have much better results and see them in 1-2 weeks depending on how many times you’ve done it. So the first thing to do is wash your face, make sure your face is nice and clean. Use a face scrub next to exfoliate all the dead skin cells. You can either take a nice warm/hot shower to open up the pores in your skin, or you can just rinse, it doesnt matter, whatever works best for you. Last step is to apply your face mask which should stay on for a good 15-20 min than rinse off or wipe gently with a washcloth, make sure you rinse with warm water than with a splash of cold water to close your pores.
Natural masks are not only great for your face to regenerate but it can help with any problems you have with your skin that some over the counter products cant do. Here are a couple natural facials that I love. You dont need to do this everyday but if you have the time, feel free to, 3 times a week would be fine.
1. Lemon Juice and Honey Mask – lemon juice actually brightens your skin tone and any discoloration on your face while honey helps control the oil and makes your pores look smaller
(Recipe – 2 teaspoons of lemon juice, either half of a fresh lemon or from a lemon juice cart, and 2 teaspoons of honey, mix together and apply to your clean face)
2. Aspirin and Lemon Juice Mask – aspirin actually dries your pimples which is awesome for oily skin
(Recipe – crush 4 aspirins in a small container and 2-3 tsp of lemon juice mix together and apply to clean face)
3. Strawberry and Yogurt Mask – this is also for acne prone skin
(Recipe – 1/4 cup of fresh warm strawberries in a container, not frozen so that it will be easier to work with, and 1/4 cup of non flavor yogurt, mix them together and apply to clean face)
Here are some of my all time favorite facials that I use three times a week, I hope you enjoy!
